Post by Carp on Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:30 am

Our Holy Father will be visiting the US this week. Is anyone going to try to see him? I'm posting his itinerary below.

Pope Benedict XVI is to arrive at Andrews Air Force Base on Tuesday and depart from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Sunday evening.

Here are some highlights of his schedule:

Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. – Is greeted by President Bush and first lady Laura Bush at White House. After welcoming ceremony, the president and pope are to meet privately.

Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. – Meets with U.S. bishops at Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

Thursday, 10 a.m. – Offers Mass at new Nationals Park.

Thursday, 5 p.m. – Addresses heads of Catholic colleges and universities, as well as diocesan school superintendents, at Catholic University of America.

Friday, 10 a.m. – Visits and speaks to United Nations in New York.

Sunday, 9:30 a.m. – Visits Ground Zero.

Sunday, 2:30 p.m. – Offers Mass at Yankee Stadium.
